  • Services & resources – canteen and equipment at the General Store and other training facilities;
  • Community & social – organising formal / informal social functions; and
  • Communication – White Line Fever, the Association website and Member updates.

Members also receive the following benefits:

  • Access to the Member area of the Association website and receipt of all communications from the Association;
  • Entitlement to use Association services and ability to purchase tickets to Association events / functions;
  • Be eligible for Association awards and have their record of service and games maintained; and
  • Ability to stand for office on the Committee.

BASIC MEMBERSHIP IS FREE!

As part of the 2010-11 Collective Bargaining Agreement, the AFL NSW/ACT has agreed to subsidise the cost of basic Membership for all umpires who officiate in six (6) games or more during each home and away season.

Accordingly, base level Membership for the 2011 season is free for all umpires.

… BUT YOU STILL NEED TO COMPLETE AN APPLICATION

Even if you only select basic Membership, you still need to complete an Application, as the Department of Fair Trading require the Association to keep a register of Member. This also allows the Association to keep in touch with you.

CHANGES TO MEMBERSHIP IN 2011

Based on feedback from Members via the end of season (2010) survey, the Committee has reintroduced tiered Membership packages that allow Members to bundle additional items (such as training shirts and tickets) with their Membership. This provides Members with a simple and transparent mechanism to tailor support for the Association with their individual needs.

Similarly, Member feedback has been used to design the items included in the Membership packages including improved warm-up / training shirts and the return of the Association keyring, kit-bags and Association tie.
